I’m new to this. Really new.
I signed up for ClickBank and joined something called The ClickBank Profit Club. And honestly, I still don’t understand half of it. Funnels, follow up, traffic. A lot of it sounds like another language.
So I’m not going to tell you I’ve got it figured out, or that I’m making money. I’m just getting started.
I signed up because, well…I wanted to see what this affiliate marketing thing was about.
This post isn’t advice. It’s just the plan I’m following, written down so I actually stick to it.
1) I picked one goal
Not “make money online.” That’s too big and I wouldn’t know where to start.
My goal is to build an email list. From what I understand so far, the list is the part you actually own. People who signed up to hear from you. Everything else can change, but you keep that.
So that’s the one thing I’m working toward.
2) I’m not jumping around
There are a million offers, tools, and “secret” traffic methods out there. It would be really easy to try a new one every week and never finish anything.
I’m sticking with one thing until I understand it.
3) I’m doing the steps in order
The Profit Club has a free membership with the steps laid out. I’m going through them one at a time and not skipping ahead.
When I hit something I don’t get, I stop and look it up or ask. That happens a lot right now, and that’s fine.
4) A little bit every day
I’m not going to spend a whole weekend on this and then quit. That kind of thing never lasts.
The goal is at least 20 minutes after work and on the weekends in the morning.
Small and steady. That’s the plan.
5) I’m going to be honest about how it goes
If it works, I’ll say so. If it doesn’t, I’ll say that too.
I’d rather write about what’s really happening than pretend to be an expert.
